We are a small group of writers, designers, and programmers from the USA and Canada.
We looked at the state of the gaming industry practically; many of us considered applying out to established studios to enter the biz 'normally', but once we realized we had such a tenacious group, we decided to try our own hand running our own studio.
Do we have any idea what we are doing? No, but that's the exciting part: we haven't been told what cannot be done. We are bullish, optimistic dreamers that have a plan to turn the state of gaming on it's head.
We adhere to a set of specifications and requirements in our projects that must be met to ensure proper functionality, integrity, security, and — above all — a stellar player experience.
See our current projectsWe believe in the need for a standard rubric of quality for games, a concrete system for deciding what games are 'AAA' or otherwise.
This standard also informs our internal certification system that we use to grade a game along these collective categories to receive its final rating.
We know companies have a limit on how long they can realistically support their games. Which is why our Gold standard certifications also double as a community clock, naturally allowing for products to slide down the scale until they reach Open Source status, at which point the game's code becomes part of the public domain for community archival or revival as needed.
